Nice to meet you,

I'm Moriah

A little more about me

My passion behind the camera is to tell the stories that matter most: the love of family, the laughter of friendship, and the passion that drives women forward in business and in life. I live for the real stuff~ the messy, unposed, unforgettable moments that tug at your heart and spark your soul.

My happiest place is with my husband and daughter, wandering and soaking in the little wonders as life unfolds. To me, life is meant to be remembered, and photography is my way of holding onto its beauty. I’ve always been drawn to the subtle details ~ the wildflower by the path, the mischievous grin, the fleeting glance. Give me a camera and people to connect with, and I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.

I deeply admire the wild, untamed beauty of womanhood. It’s in the strength of motherhood, the devotion that protects family, and the fire that sparks in business and creativity. My approach is simple: to craft photos that honor the raw, blooming beauty of this season of your life.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s create something wild, blooming, and beautifully yours.

FAQ

Where are you based?

Based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, but my heart (and camera) will happily travel wherever your story unfolds.

How do I book with you? How far in advance do I book?

Head to my contact page and send me a message with all the details you can think of, I can't wait to hear from you!

For weddings, a 30% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your date. I only take on a select number of weddings each year to ensure I can give each one the attention it truly deserves, so you may want to book as soon as possible.

What is your turn around time?

Getting your photos back to you quickly is so important to me! Every image is carefully reviewed and edited with my signature style, and sometimes a little extra love is needed for the perfect finish. For regular sessions, you can expect your gallery within 2–3 weeks.

Wedding timelines are a bit different and will be shared with you during booking.

How many photos will you deliver?

You can review what all is included in the types of sessions I offer under the "investments" tab.

But typicall it looks like this :)

Half session shoots are approx 30+ photos

Full Session shoots are 50+ photos

Every wedding and session is unique, so the number of photos can vary!

For weddings, you can expect around 40-60 high-quality edited images per hour of coverage. For a full 8-hour day, that’s roughly 320-480 images, but it all depends on the time we have and the moments that unfold. I’m all about capturing the real, unforgettable moments, no matter the number.

Do you deliver RAW photos?

Most photographers, including myself, don’t deliver raw files. Think of them as the unprocessed film — they’re not finished photos yet!

I shoot in RAW to capture all the details, exposure, and colour I need to create stunning images. What you’ll receive are the edited, high-res JPEGs that are ready to print and share. I always recommend making sure my editing style aligns with what you're looking for before booking, so everything feels just right!

Do you travel?

Yes! I love to travel to new locations. For travel outside of the Nanaimo, British Columbia, a travel fee may apply.

Any travel fees will be communicated prior to booking.

How do we get our photos?

You’ll receive your photos via an online gallery, where you can download, share, and print. It’s all about making it easy for you to keep and enjoy your memories.

After galleries are delivered, it is the client's responsibility to download and backup their images.

Do you provide posing guidance?

I’m always here to help with posing if needed!

It’s totally normal for couples to say they feel awkward in front of the camera or that they’ve never looked good in photos. But here’s the thing — those same couples are now filling the galleries on my website with some of my favourite shots. It’s all about making you feel comfortable and capturing those real moments.
